Aims and scope
Multidisciplinary Studies in Real Estate publishes research that brings economics, finance, law, management, and the behavioral sciences to bear on real estate. Property is at once an asset, a home, and a regulated market; we welcome work that looks at it from more than one of these angles, with clear economic relevance.
The journal covers, among other topics:
- Property markets, price dynamics and market cycles
- Valuation, appraisal, and real estate data
- Real estate investment, portfolios, REITs, and institutional investors
- Mortgage markets, credit, and real estate finance
- Housing economics, affordability, and tenure
- Property taxation, regulation, and the economic effects of policy
- Real estate management, corporate real estate, and proptech
- Behavioral and legal aspects of property transactions
We publish empirical, theoretical, and policy-oriented research, as well as systematic reviews. Purely technical studies in mapping, GIS, surveying, or spatial planning are outside the scope unless they address an economic, financial, or legal question. All manuscripts are peer-reviewed, double-blind, and articles are published open access under the CC BY 4.0 license, free of charge for authors.
