We welcome proposals for new journals and for established journals that want to move to the platform. Every journal here is held to the same international standard of peer review and production, so we accept a limited number of journals and assess each proposal carefully. Not every proposal is accepted.
How the work is shared
Editors on the platform concentrate on what only they can do: managing peer review and the academic quality of the content. They do not deal with production. Accepted articles are typeset, proofed and published by Mizout to a consistent international house style, with machine-readable metadata for indexing services.
Taking production off the editors' desk makes review faster and leaves more time for the quality of each article.
What we expect from the editorial team
- At least three years' experience as a journal editor.
- A record of international publications.
- Recognised academic expertise in the journal's field, with experience as a reviewer.
- A clear vision for peer review and publishing in the field.
- Willingness to take part in training on editorial and peer review practice.
- The commitment and capacity to run the journal over the long term: regular calls for papers, timely decisions and continuity of the editorial board.
How to apply
If your team meets these criteria and would like to run a journal on the platform, write to contact@mjournals.org. Please include the proposed title and scope, the CV of the editor-in-chief, the planned editorial board, and how the journal will attract submissions. We reply to every proposal.
