What your journal gets
A journal on its own domain gets the same infrastructure as every journal on Mjournals. Your editors keep full control of the academic content; the technical and production work is ours.
Your own address and identity
Readers see your journal, not ours: its own domain, name and logo, with no third-party banner on top.
- www.yourjournal.org with a secure (https) certificate that renews itself
- Your logo, site icon and colours
- Your editorial office address and contact details on every page
A complete editorial system
Everything from submission to decision in one place, for authors, reviewers and editors.
- Online submission with ORCID and a submission checklist
- Double-blind peer review, reviewer invitations and reminders
- Decision letters, reviewer certificates and a complete review record for indexing bodies
Professional production
Editors concentrate on peer review. Accepted articles are typeset, proofed and published for you.
- International house style, typeset by Mizout
- PDF, full-text HTML and JATS XML for every article
- Continuous publication or issues, with an Early view stage
Built for indexing
The pages and metadata that indexing services check are part of every journal from day one.
- Metadata ready for Crossref DOI registration, Google Scholar tags, OAI-PMH and a sitemap
- Aims and scope, editorial board with affiliations, peer review, ethics, licensing and archiving policies
- Article views, downloads and citations, shown openly
Your own readers and community
The journal keeps its own audience and speaks to it directly.
- New-article alerts and the journal's own announcement list
- Journal news, calls for papers and events on the journal's website
- A reviewer pool and open calls for editorial board members
No technical work for your team
Hosting, security, backups and updates are ours. Your team does not need a developer or a server.
- One DNS record at your domain provider; your e-mail is not touched
- Sign-in and the editorial dashboard run on Mjournals, with one account for all roles
- Updates and new features reach your journal automatically
How it works
Tell us about your journal
Fill in the form on this page. We read every request and reply within a few working days.
We plan it together
We go through the scope, the editorial team, the policies and, for an established journal, its published issues. You get a clear plan and timeline.
We set up the journal
We create the journal, its pages, policies and editorial board in our system, add your logo and colours, and train your editors.
You add one DNS record
At your domain provider, you point www to domains.mjournals.org (a single CNAME record). Your e-mail and other records stay as they are.
Your journal goes live
The journal opens on your address with a secure certificate. Links to its earlier address on Mjournals move to the new one permanently, so nothing breaks.
Support to grow the journal
Our team has twelve years of experience running and editing academic journals and setting up publishing systems for journals and universities. We stay with your editorial team after launch, not only during setup.
Indexing applications
We help you meet the criteria of DOAJ, TR Dizin, Scopus, Web of Science and other indexes, and prepare the applications with you.
Editorial practice
Training for editors and reviewers on peer review, publication ethics and decision-making.
Policies and pages
Peer review, ethics, open access, archiving and correction policies written to international standards.
Ongoing support
A direct line to our editorial office for questions, from the first submission onwards.

Questions
- Does the domain stay ours?
- Yes. You register and keep the domain; we only ask you to point its www record to us. You can change that record at any time.
- Will our e-mail or other services be affected?
- No. Only the www record changes. Your e-mail (MX) and other records stay exactly as they are.
- Where do authors and reviewers sign in?
- On Mjournals. Submit, Sign in and the editorial dashboard open there, with one account across journals and roles. Everything readers see stays on your address.
- Can you move an established journal with its back issues?
- Yes. We plan the move with you: the published issues, their metadata and, where needed, typesetting to the house style. Existing DOIs keep pointing to the articles.
- Can you guarantee indexing?
- No one can: every index decides independently. What we do is make sure your journal meets the criteria, presents them clearly, and keeps meeting them after it is accepted.
