Publication ethics

Authorship, originality, conflicts of interest and how we handle misconduct.

We expect authors, reviewers and editors to act honestly and transparently.

Authors

  • Submit original work that is not under consideration elsewhere.
  • List as authors only those who made a substantial contribution, and acknowledge others.
  • Declare funding and any conflicts of interest.
  • Obtain ethics approval and informed consent where the research involves human participants.

Reviewers and editors

  • Keep manuscripts confidential and declare conflicts of interest.
  • Judge the work on its merits, regardless of the authors' identity or background.

Suspected misconduct

Concerns about plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate publication or authorship disputes are investigated by the editor. Write to contact@mjournals.org.
