Research involving human participants must have been approved by an appropriate ethics committee, and participants must have given informed consent. Authors upload the ethics approval document with the submission; it is seen by the editors but not by the reviewers.
We encourage authors to make the data underlying their findings available, and to state in the article where and how it can be accessed.
