Introducing Mjournals
A new home for peer-reviewed, open access journals, where editors focus on review and every accepted article is professionally typeset.

Today, we are opening Mjournals, a publishing platform for peer-reviewed, open-access academic journals. Our first journal, the Journal of Social Solutions, is now accepting submissions.
Why we built it
Running a journal well takes two very different kinds of work. One is academic: finding the right reviewers, weighing their reports, and deciding what deserves publication. The other is production: typesetting, proofs, metadata, and the publication itself. Too often, editors end up doing both, and the review suffers. At Mjournals, the two are separated. Editors focus on peer review and the quality of each article; our production team takes every accepted manuscript from typesetting through publication.
What authors can expect
- Double-blind peer review, with every step of the process visible in your dashboard.
- Open access under CC BY 4.0: anyone can read your article, and you keep the copyright.
- Sign in with ORCID, so your ID is verified and attached to your work.
- A professionally typeset PDF and a full-text HTML version of every article.
For editors and societies
We are selective about the journals we bring to the platform. If you are an experienced editor planning a new journal, or looking for a new home for an existing one, read how we work and what we look for on our Start or move a journal page, and get in touch.
What comes next
This blog will be updated every week with news from our journals, practical guides for authors and reviewers, and short, plain-language summaries of the research we publish.
Thank you for reading, and welcome to Mjournals.
