The role
Journal of Social Solutions is a new open access journal for research that turns evidence into practical responses to social problems. We are building an international editorial board of colleagues who share this aim.
As a member of the editorial board you will:
- Review two to four manuscripts a year in your area
- Suggest reviewers and advise the editors on difficult manuscripts when needed
- Help shape the journal's scope, policies and future special issues
- Encourage strong submissions from your networks
- Join a short online board meeting once a year
Board members are listed on the journal's website with their institution and country.
Who we are looking for
- A doctorate and a publication record in one of the journal's fields
- Experience of peer review for international journals
- An interest in research that informs practice and policy
- Good written English
We particularly welcome colleagues from different countries and institutions, so that the board reflects the journal's international readership.
How we decide
The Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Social Solutions reviews the applications after the closing date and replies to every applicant, usually within four weeks. Appointments are for three years and can be renewed. The role is voluntary, and there is no fee for applying or for joining the board. Read our editorial appointments policy.
