Each journal has its own scope and instructions for authors on its website; please read them first. This guide covers what is the same across all our journals.
Before you submit
- Prepare two Word files: an anonymised manuscript and a manuscript with author details.
- Remove names, affiliations, acknowledgements and file properties from the anonymised file.
- Make sure every author has an ORCID iD.
- If your research involves human participants, have the ethics approval document ready.
During review
You will receive the editor's decision by e-mail. If revisions are requested, upload a revised manuscript and a response to the reviewers that answers each comment point by point.
After acceptance
We may ask for a final production file with all author details. You will then receive a proof to check before publication.
